Radiotherapy is a cancer treatment method that uses high doses of radiation to destroy cancer cells. However, radiation also damages healthy tissues surrounding a tumor. Internal organ motion caused by breathing impacts dose delivery and can increase radiation to non-target tissues. Accordingly, respiratory motion management is a very critical issue. In this paper we are presenting results of work in progress, i.e. experiments of applying two different schemes for identifying tumor position from an external marker during treatment session.
