Abstract
Pope Paul VI called our time “Marian Era”. On the one side he meant the visions of Fatima and in connection with them the dedication of the Church and the humanity to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. On the other side he focused on his declaration of Mary as the “spiritual Mother of the Church”. We are presenting and discussing the background and the consequences of both the facts – not only in the XX century, but also earlier, from the beginning of the modernity, as well as later on, in the present “postmodernism”.
